Cairns was our first hotel purchase occurring in 2015. Since our purchase we have made many changes to the property including stream lining operations and closing the function business. We then redeveloped this old function space into 31 Tropical Luxe rooms that are the envy of the Cairns hotel market. The hotel’s original 176 rooms have also since all been refurbished. We also acquired an additional leasehold boutique hotel, The Abbott. Giving us 240 rooms to sell into the Topical North Queensland market.
In addition, we own and operate The Bushfire Brazilian-inspired all you can eat meat restaurant which serves on average 200 pax for breakfast and 120 pax for dinner every day. This hotel is performing strongly for our investors.
